Propositon 83 in California.

Seems like a federal court judge just blocked implementation of prop. 83. It makes you wonder if the judges are not full of pedophiles and gays in their ranks, doesn't it?

Seems to me, the judge could have, at least, allow the provision blocking registered offenders from residing within 2000 ft. from schools and parks.

I think it is past time we screen all of our representatives from our town, city, county, state and federal positions and weed out the weirdos, gays and pedophiles!

Illegal aliens.

Illegal aliens are consuming our public resources in magnitudes. Yet, their wages and the taxes they contribute and NOT such as to maintain such consumption.

Illegal aliens are consuming jobs. Many will claim they are taking jobs which American "will not do." I do think so. I think they are taking jobs which Americans would rather not do, but hey, if you fall into a hole you have to work yourself out.

What illegal aliens are doing is ruining the wages in America. Sure starving masses from third world countries will work at a fraction of the wages Americans will, DUH!

An excellent work ethic is, "A fair days pay for a fair days work." This is being replaced with, "You should take any job, even those which would cause you to be homeless and hungry (not to mention doing without proper medical care.)"

We need to send a strong message to our government, "NO ILLEGAL ALIENS. NONE AT ALL!" And, even legal immigration should be limited to numbers which do NOT degrade the American standard of living.

Proposition 86. Increased tax on cigarettes.

Well, it is voting time in California, already. Now we see all the idiots running to the polls. It scares me when I consider just how many people will vote for prop. 86 and to increase the taxes on cigarettes.

It makes one wonder, "What are these people thinking? Are they mentally and intellectually challenged? Where do they think I get the money from to buy my cigarettes?"

I can, at least, answer the last part of the above. "I get my cigarette money from the corp. I work for." And, the money they pay me for my cigarettes they get from Joe-blow-public.

But, it gets worse, you suffer increased costs to get my corp's products/services and, in effect, YOU buy my cigarettes. I suppose I should thank you and, I do!!! "THANKS PAL!!!"

A vote on prop. 86 is a vote to raise your taxes, could it be any more obvious?

John Kerry's statement held much truth.

John Kerry, when he stated that most Americans have but two choices,
1) Go to college.
2) Go into the military.
was, in my opinion, quite correct.

Just look around you, every other job is being held by illegal aliens working below/at/"or near" minimum wage!

Minimum wage and the decline of America...

It seems that many mistake the minimum wage as a "proper" wage an adult should begin a job. The minimum wage was never designed to support an adult.

Rather, the minimum wage is for those entering the workforce for the very first time. I live here in California. Here, the wage necessary for an adult to provide his/her support from would be very close to ten dollars an hour. This would NOT be a wage where one would be "getting ahead" on. Rather, it would only be providing for their most minimal support--roof over their head, ability to replace clothes as fast as they wore them out, cheap meals, little entertainment, minimal medical care and prescriptions, etc....

However, the starving and oppressed people, mainly from Mexico and So. America are too willing to work at less than wages which will support an individual in a maintainable manner, while keeping ones health.

What can we do about it? Write our congressmen? Protest? Complain?

I think we first need to realize this is exactly what our representatives, the president and the wealthy have in mind for America. A country of haves vs. have-nots. A country where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. A country where some people feel they are just plain entitled to more than others. A country much like the old Rome.

I think this is a place where one is not free and in danger...
